Northern Lights

What it is

The original Northern Lights: a classic Indica, one of the most awarded and most grown in history.

Where it comes from

It was born in the 80s in the north of the united states (said to be near Seattle), from afghan plants, and became famous when it reached holland. It won several cups and gave rise to strains like Super Silver Haze, Jack Herer and Black Domina.

Aroma and effect

Sweet, pine and earth. Relaxing, body effect, for nighttime.

How to grow it

Very easy: it grows short and even, flowers in about 7 to 8 weeks and resists pests and mold better than almost any. It's the one recommended for starting with photoperiods. It yields a bit less than others.

▲ Pros

  • Resists fungus and pests
  • Few pests

▼ Cons

  • Medium yield
  • Low price

🎮 Practice it in UnderGrow

Photoperiod Indica, 26 % Sativa and 13 % THC. Aroma: sweet, pine, earthy.

Flowers in 7-8 weeks from when you switch the light to 12/12 (outdoors, on its own, in late summer). Seed to harvest, ~88 days indoors.

The seed bank promises up to 280 g per plant indoors and 470 g outdoors, with everything perfect. Selling price: below normal. The seed costs US$ 11.

Difficulty: very easy. In the game, the harder it is, the easier pests take hold (on a hard one, almost double compared to a very easy one) and the seed costs a little more. Watering, feeding and climate mistakes damage the same in all of them. The hard ones usually yield fewer grams, but they sell for more. "How it's grown" comes from the real strain; in the game its ▲▼ and its traits count (resists fungi or pests, suffers heat or cold).
