Gelato

What it is

A modern hybrid from San Francisco, from the "dessert" strains: sweet, creamy aromas and lots of power.

Where it comes from

Born in California in the mid-2010s, by crossing sunset sherbet with thin mint Girl Scout Cookies, two offspring of Og Kush. It is one of the most popular of recent years.

Aroma and effect

Creamy and fruity, like fruit ice cream. Strong, balanced effect.

How to grow it

Hard: demanding on climate and fertilizer, and yields moderately. It's one of the most potent and best paid, but more pests get in.

▲ Pros

  • Very high price

▼ Cons

  • Many pests
  • Medium yield

🎮 Practice it in UnderGrow

Photoperiod hybrid, 58 % Sativa and 27 % THC. Aroma: creamy, fruity.

Flowers in 8-9 weeks from when you switch the light to 12/12 (outdoors, on its own, in late summer). Seed to harvest, ~98 days indoors.

The seed bank promises up to 280 g per plant indoors and 470 g outdoors, with everything perfect. Selling price: very high. The seed costs US$ 24.

Difficulty: hard. In the game, the harder it is, the easier pests take hold (on a hard one, almost double compared to a very easy one) and the seed costs a little more. Watering, feeding and climate mistakes damage the same in all of them. The hard ones usually yield fewer grams, but they sell for more. "How it's grown" comes from the real strain; in the game its ▲▼ and its traits count (resists fungi or pests, suffers heat or cold).
