Blueberry Auto

What it is

The autoflower version of blueberry, famous for its fruity aroma and the bluish and purple tones it takes on at the end.

Where it comes from

Blueberry was created by the american breeder DJ Short between the 70s and 80s, crossing thai sativas with afghan indicas. It won the Amsterdam cup in 2000.

Aroma and effect

Sweet, with blueberry and red fruit. Relaxing, happy effect.

Why it turns blue

The purple and blue colors are anthocyanins, the same pigments as in blueberries. With cool nights at the end of flowering (a few degrees below the daytime), the chlorophyll recedes and they show. They don't change the potency, but they do change the look.

How to grow it

Easy and compact. To bring out the color, a temperature difference between day and night in the last weeks.

▲ Pros

  • Bluish buds and good price

▼ Cons

  • Medium yield

🎮 Practice it in UnderGrow

Autoflower Indica, 27 % Sativa and 21 % THC. Aroma: blueberry, sweet.

Seed to harvest takes ~83 days (~83 real h). It flowers on its own, by age.

The seed bank promises up to 80 g per plant indoors and 90 g outdoors, with everything perfect. Selling price: good. The seed costs US$ 13.

Difficulty: easy. In the game, the harder it is, the easier pests take hold (on a hard one, almost double compared to a very easy one) and the seed costs a little more. Watering, feeding and climate mistakes damage the same in all of them. The hard ones usually yield fewer grams, but they sell for more. "How it's grown" comes from the real strain; in the game its ▲▼ and its traits count (resists fungi or pests, suffers heat or cold).
