Big Bud

What it is

An Indica bred with a single goal: yield. The name ("Big Bud") says it all.

Where it comes from

It was developed in the united states in the 80s from afghan indicas (with a bit of Skunk and Northern Lights) and stabilized in holland. It was one of the most productive of its time.

Aroma and effect

Sweet, earthy and a bit diesel. Relaxing, body effect.

How to grow it

Easy. Its buds are so big and heavy that the branches snap: you have to stake them (tie them to canes) or use a net. Like any big-bud plant, watch for botrytis.

▲ Pros

  • The expert almost never lets a theft through

▼ Cons

  • Medium price

🎮 Practice it in UnderGrow

Photoperiod Indica, 24 % Sativa and 16 % THC. Aroma: earthy, fuel.

Flowers in 8-9 weeks from when you switch the light to 12/12 (outdoors, on its own, in late summer). Seed to harvest, ~96 days indoors.

The seed bank promises up to 450 g per plant indoors and 750 g outdoors, with everything perfect. Selling price: average. The seed costs US$ 14.

Difficulty: easy. In the game, the harder it is, the easier pests take hold (on a hard one, almost double compared to a very easy one) and the seed costs a little more. Watering, feeding and climate mistakes damage the same in all of them. The hard ones usually yield fewer grams, but they sell for more. "How it's grown" comes from the real strain; in the game its ▲▼ and its traits count (resists fungi or pests, suffers heat or cold).
