Afghan Kush

What it is

An "earth" Indica (landrace): a wild strain that formed on its own over centuries in one place, with no modern crosses.

Where it comes from

From the Hindu Kush mountains, between afghanistan and pakistan, where it's been grown for centuries to make hashish. The cold and dryness of those mountains made it short, robust, broad-leafed and full of resin (which protects it from the cold). It's the base of almost all modern indicas.

Aroma and effect

Earthy, woody and hashish-like. Body effect, heavy and relaxing.

How to grow it

One of the easiest and toughest: it flowers fast (about 7 to 8 weeks) and tolerates mistakes. Since its buds are dense, it prefers a dry environment.

▲ Pros

  • Flowers fast (7,5 weeks of flowering)
  • High yield and few pests

▼ Cons

  • Somewhat low price

🎮 Practice it in UnderGrow

Photoperiod Indica, 24 % Sativa and 16 % THC. Aroma: earthy, hash.

Flowers in 7-8 weeks from when you switch the light to 12/12 (outdoors, on its own, in late summer). Seed to harvest, ~88 days indoors.

The seed bank promises up to 350 g per plant indoors and 580 g outdoors, with everything perfect. Selling price: below normal. The seed costs US$ 12.

Difficulty: very easy. In the game, the harder it is, the easier pests take hold (on a hard one, almost double compared to a very easy one) and the seed costs a little more. Watering, feeding and climate mistakes damage the same in all of them. The hard ones usually yield fewer grams, but they sell for more. "How it's grown" comes from the real strain; in the game its ▲▼ and its traits count (resists fungi or pests, suffers heat or cold).
