What it is
An electronic meter (pH meter) with a glass probe that goes in the water and shows the pH with decimals. There are also drops and paper strips that change color: they are cheaper but less accurate.
How to use
- Prepare the watering water with the feed already mixed in.
- Dip the tip in, stir and wait for the number to settle.
- If needed, adjust with pH down or pH up a few drops at a time and measure again.
- Rinse the tip with water and keep it moist, with its little cap.
The care that gets forgotten the most
It has to be calibrated every now and then with liquids of known pH (4,0 and 7,0). An uncalibrated meter lies, and confidently. And the probe must never dry out: it gets ruined.
▲ Pros
- You see the pH
▼ Cons
- You have to fix it by hand
🎮 Practice it in UnderGrow
